Your driver brings a test-ready car from a licensed California driving school and meets you at this office for your behind-the-wheel test.
Before the drive begins, the examiner checks the car against the DMV's pre-drive checklist. The car is kept ready for that check, and final acceptance is determined by the DMV examiner.
The office sits at the southern edge of downtown Hayward. Downtown is a documented commuter cut-through between I-880 and I-580, and the city retimed its traffic signals in 2017 to slow that traffic.
