Privacy Policy
Effective November 5, 2026 · Version 2026-11-05
About this policy
LL Group LLC, doing business as DMV Rental Car ("we," "our," or "us"), runs www.dmvrentalcar.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit the site or book our test-day car and driver service, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
1. Personal information we collect
When you book or contact us:
- Contact Data: name, phone number and email address of the person taking the test.
- Booking Details: DMV office, test date and time, package, preferred language, notes, and how you heard about us.
- Parent or Guardian Details: when the person taking the test is under 18, the parent or guardian's name and phone number.
- Communication & Consent Data: Text message opt-in records, booking signatures, call logs, and customer support inquiries.
- Payment Data: payments are processed by Stripe. We see whether you paid and how much; we never see or store your full card number.
Automatically, when you use the site:
- How You Found Us: the first page you visited, ad campaign tags, the Google Ads click ID and the website that sent you. Your browser keeps this for 30 days and sends it with a booking request.
- Spam Check: our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile, which reads basic browser and device signals to tell people from bots.
- Cookies from Google and Meta, only if you choose Accept (section 4).
2. How personal information is used
We use the personal information we collect to operate, manage, and improve our services, including:
- Processing bookings, payments, and vehicle reservations for your DMV driving test.
- Sending transactional notifications, appointment reminders, follow-ups, and account updates via email or SMS.
- Responding to customer inquiries and providing support.
- Measuring which ads and searches lead to bookings and payments.
- Keeping spam and fake bookings out of our forms.
- Complying with state laws, DMV requirements, and legal obligations.
3. Sharing of personal information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share personal data only in limited circumstances:
- Your Driver: your name, phone number and test details, so they can meet you at the DMV.
- Partner Driving School: the details it needs to carry out your booking.
- Service Providers: companies that help us run the business, each for its own job: Webflow (website and forms), Cloudflare (spam check), Zapier (moves booking details between our tools), Airtable (booking records), Softr (the app our drivers use to see and accept jobs), Stripe (payments), Twilio (text messages), and SendGrid and Google Workspace (email and calendar).
- Google and Meta, through cookies: information about your visits, only if you choose Accept (section 4).
- Google Ads, for paid bookings: if you came from one of our Google ads and pay for a booking, we tell Google that the click led to a payment. We send the Google Ads click ID, the payment time and the amount. We don't send your name, phone number or email. This doesn't depend on your cookie choice.
- Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or government regulations to protect our rights, legal safety, or public safety.
SMS consent and phone numbers collected for text messaging will not be shared with, sold to, or rented to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes under any circumstances. All mobile opt-in data excludes third-party sharing.
4. Cookies and tracking
When you first visit, we ask whether you accept cookies. Until you choose Accept, no Google or Meta tracking runs on this site. The paid booking report in section 3 doesn't run on the site and doesn't depend on this choice.
If you choose Accept:
- Google Analytics shows us how people use the site.
- Google Ads tells us when a visit from one of our ads leads to a booking request.
- The Meta Pixel measures our Facebook and Instagram ads and lets Meta show our ads to people who visited the site. If you send a booking request after choosing Accept, Meta may also receive your email address and phone number in coded (hashed) form.
Google and Meta set their own cookies and can collect information about your visits over time and across other websites. Their own policies cover how they use it: policies.google.com/privacy and facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Always on, because the site needs them: the spam check on our forms, the record of your cookie choice, and the "How You Found Us" note in section 1.
Your choices:
- Change your choice any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page.
- To keep a booking out of the paid booking report, contact us before you pay.
- If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as Decline for cookies.
- To limit ads more widely: adssettings.google.com, facebook.com/adpreferences and optout.aboutads.info. To stop Google Analytics on every site: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Do Not Track: our site doesn't respond to the older "Do Not Track" browser setting. Global Privacy Control works as described above.
5. SMS communication and opt-out
If you opt in to receive text messages from DMV Rental Car, message frequency may vary (up to 10 messages per week). Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your carrier.
- Opt-Out: Reply STOP to any text message at any time to discontinue SMS communications.
- Help: Reply HELP or contact us at www.dmvrentalcar.com for assistance.
6. People under 18
When the person taking the test is under 18, we ask for a parent or guardian's name and phone number, and the parent or guardian signs the booking too. Our service isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
7. Data security and retention
We implement industry-standard physical, technical, and administrative security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. We retain your personal data only as long as necessary to fulfill service requests and comply with legal obligations.
8. Your privacy rights and contact info
You have the right to access, update, or request the deletion of your personal information at any time. For questions regarding this Privacy Policy or your personal data, please contact us at info@dmvrentalcar.com, 415-763-1152, or through www.dmvrentalcar.com.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version on this page with a new effective date. For important changes, we'll also show a notice on the site.
