Safety & Driver Readiness Policy
DMV Rental Car services are intended for customers who already have basic driving ability and are preparing for their DMV behind-the-wheel test.
Our instructors and drivers have the right to refuse or stop service if, at their professional judgment, the customer:
• Has little or no prior driving experience
• Cannot safely control the vehicle
• Creates a risk to the instructor, vehicle, public, or DMV property
• Refuses to follow safety instructions
If a service must be stopped for safety reasons, the appointment may be terminated without refund, as the instructor and vehicle have already been dispatched.
Customers who have never driven before should book a full driving lesson with a licensed driving school before scheduling a DMV test-day service.
How much does it cost to rent a car for a driving test?
Our standard rental is $249 with insurance included.
What is included in the rental price?
DMV-required insurance, registration, and a compliant car for your test. See what’s included on test day
Why does pricing vary between DMV test car rental services?
DMV test day involves more than just having a car. Many issues happen before driving even begins — during vehicle inspection, document checks, or licensed driver verification. Our pricing reflects structured preparation and test‑day support designed to reduce check‑in problems and delays. See how test‑day support works
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit cards are accepted.
What happens if I fail my driving test? Can I re-rent?
Yes. You can rebook at the standard rate for your next test. Returning customers who previously tested with us receive 5% off their next DMV test car rental or Experience Boost service.
